Transfers Tomorrow

We ran over a squirrel on the way to church.

And we also got to join relief society for today. Because martinez is
translating.

There's a crazy albino black lady in this ward. She's 100% insane.
I thought forever she was just normal black. But Ashjian said she's
Dominican. That makes sense cuz she knows Spanish.
But she's crazy. So is her daughter. You can't understand whatever she says.

We were knocking yesterday and one guy was listening to us, and I said
that the church Christ set up in the bible has been restored on the
earth today. And he said where does it say that in the bible? And I'm
like, I don't know where, but it does. But he asked me to show him
where. And that he was a Jehovah's Witness and he was just out
teaching to people as well as us.
Then we left and I was telling martinez that I don't like JW's
because they need physical proof of everything biblical.
It has been hard these past few weeks knocking and not getting
anyone. We have talked to some people, but they are Spanish and we
can't teach them cuz I don't know Spanish.  And I will probably get an
English companion.
But yesterday we knocked for two hours and it was all black people
who were quite content with their religion. They go to "Evergreen" and
they just came back from church.
But we met a nice old man on the street who said any work for The
Lord is good work and we'll be blessed. He was a deacon for Joshua. I
don't know what that meant, but he liked it.

 OKAY.
So flippin HALF of our zone is gone.
I wrote in my notes about transfer calls. So I'll copy it to here and
edit it a little. May not make grammatical sense. But ya..

And with all these missionaries out, there is so much change going on.
Transfers is going to be a MAD HOUSE!!
I hope the sisters are good. With sisters, you either get awesome
ones, or not. Only the extremes, no middle ground. We were scaring the
ward mission leader about them. Like I said he may want to think about
quitting his calling. Haha cuz sisters do whatever they want. And we
know that the ward will love them to death and ignore us elders. This
place has been elders forever. Since it began. And we are 99% sure
sisters are coming. And martinez is scared.
It was a huge surprise Jensen was out. He hasn't been here that
long, but I think that pres doesn't know what to do with Huntington.
Lately there's been a constant shuffle with the elders here. No ones
really been here for longer than 6 months lately. Ashjian was here
that long, but I don't know who was here after I left. There was a
companionship who were both only here for one.
But because I'm staying, I could be here a while, I'm kinda surprised
I'm in, but I'd be more surprised if I was out. Cuz me doing a
one-and-done doesn't seem possible.

So today was good. We played mini golf with some members, one is an
older guy, but like us younger kids. The other is a less active. But
the older one is bro silva. And the other is Gus.
So gus has been less active for a long time, and the other elders are
always with him. And bro silva is cool. He's from Oregon. And he'll
play any sport. But her hurt his back last time we played b-ball. But
it wasn't just from that. It's been happening over time.
Anyway, it was super fun and windy, like it totally effected the
ball. I got 54 points. I got a hole in one, which was intense! It was
on a high bank that curved right and for some reason there was two
holes, and it went straight at one, bounced off the side wall and into
the other hole next to it! It was amazing! Then Nelson behind me got a
hole in one too!
Then we got hair cuts from a member in the ward, and I found out
she's the same age as me! Well in two weeks we'll be the same age.
Which is really weird cuz normally the people I meet who are married
are older. Not 23!
Then we went shopping at the nike outlet and martinez got some fresh
kicks.  Basket ball shoes. They're called hyper dunks. Now he can dunk
it. But he hasn't used them yet.
Then we went to Texas Roadhouse! For dinner! It was really good.
And for some reason there were some sister missionaries there and
behind us was a member from bay shore who used to own a pizza shop and
would give us free slices!
But I got the ribs and a sweet potato. It was really good. I'm
stuffed. We went to celebrate elder Nelson going home. And cuz we're
cool. Hehe
Now we're home and martinez has to get his stuff ready to move
tomorrow. Because he's not going to a new zone, but staying in the
district, he just has to move pads again. Back to whence he came. It
took him like 5 weeks to get everything out. Now I'll try to make him
get rid of his stuff in less time. My new comp needs space for his
stuff! And this pad is very small. Well, it's big, but there's no
extra space for luggage cases.

I found some really good ginger beer.

How's that for a good long email?
See ya later. Ttyl, love ya, all that.

-elder peck.

 Holy Moley!
We just got a text saying that ALL MISSIONARIES Should attend this meeting.
 This has never happened before!!!!!!!!

Is is so crazy!!!!

How are we gonna fit?!

Biggest transfer meeting / change in the history of the mission!!!!

¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cuz normally those who are not being transferred stay in their area to
work. But not this time!

Holy cow I'm freaking out.

This is INSANE!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

So, there is a new zone. But more than one. There is 12 zones now!
Zone 8 has been moved to the city, zone 9 which used to be way out on
the island is now in the city.
And I am in zone 10! With bay shore as the home of the zone leaders!
Sisters for the first time are in Brentwood and Huntington!
My companion, is the one and only elder IZATT!!!!!!
Finally after a year and a half, we are back together!
I think that's all the new cool info for now.

So excited!
