I was feeling depressed last week, so I didn't write.
This week I still feel bad, but not as much. But I did get a cold, so being sick and feeling sad isn't a good combo. Plus I'm really tired and weak all the time. I just want to sleep.

In the course of two days, some pretty tough things have happened to the people in my district. And I was there for two of them.
One was elder Richardson. So we are at a members house for a lesson with her son, who is not a member. And she gives us a drink, and it was okay because it was the Deseret orange juice, and that's not the greatest. But there is no where to put the glasses when we were done, so we put them on the ground. I'm sitting in a chair and the other two are sitting on a couch next to me.
The sister wanted to sit down on the couch, so she asked the guys to move over, and when Richardson went to move, he knocked over his glass and broke it. So I moved my chair across from the couch so he could sweep up the shards without me being in the way. When he goes to get the broom, he doesn't look where he's going and he kicks a shelf full of porcelain figures, and about 5 of them fall off and shatter.
All of this was within 2 minutes.
After that was cleaned up, they were saying the opening prayer. And I don't know how the little kid got a hold of our phone, but he says he's going to call 911, so he does.
It's hard to be reverent during the prayer, when you're trying to grab the phone from a little kid and he's already called the number. Eventually the phone was retained and turned off. And the call lasted 12 seconds. We hoped nothing would happen.

After a few hours, nothing happened.

Then the next day I was with Mortensen, and a member couple were having a baby shower, so we had to help the dad, bro campos. He asked us to pick up food from a restaurant. So we go there and got the tray. It was pretty expensive too. But somehow the people here have money. Anyway.. We wanted to see what it was, so Mortensen opened the corner and a bunch of soup comes pouring out! Ahh! Now that it's open, it's just coming out. And I was the passenger at first, but I decided to drive because he was already holding the thing and I didn't want to get dirty.
So I had to drive as carefully as I possibly could, but it's hard and the roads suck. So he got some beef soup on his pants. Haha it looked like diarrhea on everything it touched.

So I'm sick today still and I am at the senior couples house resting on their nice huge bed with a foam mattress. While the other guys go play bball at Rego.

Tonight is presidents interviews with.... President. (uhh, redundant..)
Then Tuesday is the temple trip, and that's when I turn my iPad in.
Then we have a ZTM on Wednesday. And weekly planning on Thursday, then I don't know what's on fri-sat. We have dinner at the bradfords on Sunday. We were going to go yesterday but they changed it to next week cuz it's our last Sunday.

Today we got haircuts from bro Bradford. Apparently his dad taught him in high school, then he charged a dollar in college to cut hair. That's cool.  I've taken a slight interest in cutting hair. I don't want to go into it as a business, but I do want to try it out on a few willing guinea pigs.

This solar city job could support me for a while, I think. I just fear I can't do any kind of work because my body is weak. Richardson might work there too. He'd do the outdoor work, and the guy I was talking to said I could do inside stuff. He listed a lot of positions that sound like there are more than just knocking on doors forever. And that's about all there is with vivint.
The guy said he believes in hard work. And I nodded my head, but inside I was cringing at the words.

Sister Bradford made cornbread per my request, it was so good! She was worried because it was in the oven slightly longer than it was supposed to. But it just made the edges perfectly crispy. It was so good. She'll make more for next week. It was from a box, but still good.

Some things seem to be pretty good. But then our investigators are being weird. The jones are going nowhere. Some people are just not progressing as fast as we had planned. We had baptismal goals pretty soon. But now we'll have to move them back more so they can make it to church. One guy, Joel, he has been to church a ton of times in the DR. But he needs to come at least once here to be okay. And he wanted to get baptized this next Sunday, but he's not doing things.
I've been to a lot of baptisms that Richardson knows the person from far rockaway. And they want him there or to do the baptism. Yesterday was a lady who had been ready for a long time, but her boyfriend was making it hard. But he got deported so she could. And next week is a guy who's the last in the family to get baptized. And the son is going on a mission next week. So the dad is getting baptized by the son after he gets set apart as a missionary. That's super cool!

I'm going to sleep now, so I'll send this off. And get back to your questions later.
