ok, so after elder law left, no
one in the ward can play the organ or piano, so now it's super ghetto,
bishop plugs his iphone into the speakers and we sign along to the
orchestrated version of the hymns. and it's all tinny and corny. bishop
is kind of embarrassed by it. but if we sign loud enough, it's not too
bad. hehe
anyways, elder hunter is pretty cool, really hard worker.
but because he's been in the city for 22 months, that's all he can
think of. like how to do work there, it doesn't really work out on the
island, but he still wants to try it. and also, he thinks we need more
mileage in our month, now the limit is like 1200 miles, but he things
that 200 more would do it. but i've gone my whole mission with that
limit and we've been ok. but i think he thinks we can go see everyone
in one day. and he says that we should average 50 miles a day, but
yesterday we got 112. ya. we drove a hundred miles. and he wants it to
be like that. BUT FLIP!! i'm doing the driving. and now we don't have a
GPS, but we'll get one
tomorrow. but anywho....
the other elders have a baptism this saturday,
and another one planned for december. we taught hardy yesterday, and
he's doing well. but i forgot to commit him to baptism on the 16, but he
has to move his schedule around so he can come to church and not work
on sundees. we taught him the importance of the sabbath day, so
hopefully he can do that soon. so we can dunk him! the commandments are
kinda hard to teach cuz they don't really have a set thing in the PMG,
it's just what we should and shouldn't do, then they leave it up to you
to tell them what you know. so it's okay..
we met with an old investigator last night, Amy, she is the
girlfriend of another 'gator we picked up yesterday. like we called them
earlier, and they both came to all three hours of church! just like
that!
and they've been taught everything, but we have to go over it
all again. and she works at JCP and she said "let me know if you need
any white shirts or ties or whatever" so that's cool. elder hunter's
white shirts are no longer white. and his clothes are just falling
apart. i was saying that because i'm in the island, my clothes are going
to be fine. like my normal shoes aren't even worn and i've been out
about a year. and he has holes in so many places. and yellow/grey
shirts.. it's crazy. well he also is at the end of his mission as well.
oh so i'm going to try not to eat bread this transfer to see
what happens. and today i bought a lot of yogurt. i've never been huge
with it before, like all the expensive kind, greek and stuff. like
chobani, that's pretty good. there's another one, noosa, from
austrailia.. good too. but idk what else to buy. we get fed well and we
go to subway too. i just don't know what to keep getting for food.
bananas and apples i get. oranges sometimes. it depends...
anyway. it's freezing but no snow, yet. i did get "the
package" and halloween was ok. boring as usual. we went to target and i
saw some older lady, older like 30's wearing some xeena thing and i
forgot why, until later. it just doesn't effect us, so we don't worry
aboot it.
i heard we aren't getting iphones at the same time as the
ipads, something to do with the networks... but we will eventually. i
can't wait to not have to worry about going to the library for
everything online.
i think i'll buy some shoes and a hoodie with my home card. i
might put some more money on there, i'm running low. i can't keep
wearing my sandal shoe things, they hurt my feet and there's no support
or protection..
i can't think of anything else to say...
