I LOST 5 POUNDS!!!

i don't know how, but i'm back in the 70's.

despite all the chocolate i've been eating.

thanks for the fudge. i'm not half way done, cuz i want to cherish it, as well as the utah truffle. i'll try not to eat the whole thing in under a minute.

i got lots of money for christmas from bunch of people

i don't think i personally have the money from the check. i sent it the other day though.

we have a white elephant gift exchange for zone activity today, $5 limit. i got the small nerf gun, 3 barrels. i would want it. so i got it.  i was going to get a giant multi-colored crayon, but nerf guns are more useful.

i hope i don't get anything stupid. but with my luck i might. i've never gotten anything good from those. the other elders bought a pregnancy test. hahahahahah

i needed a hair  cut, so i got elder hunters clpper. and he only had two sizes, short and shorter. so i went with short on the sides, and it's not too bad. i look weird having long hair on top. and really short hair on the sides. "it's called fashion, look it up" haha i saw that somewhere on facebook,  and it was on a dog.... weird..

idk why, everywhere is crazy now. right in front of me is the copiers and all of them are being used right now. it's packed.  and the laundromat parking lot was packed. people were double parking.

  you have no idea what it's like here, like the roads are so narrow, and when someone double parks, it looks like you can't get through, and anyone in utah would not even try it, but your car will fit, and people depend on that, so they hug the car parked, and sit there, in the road. but it looks like you can't make it. i say people in utah because they like their space, no one parks within inches of the next car, no one gets within a foot of any car next to them. anywhere. but here.... oh it's the opposite. that's why they have bumper guards. i'll try to get a good picture. it's more in the city. the roads in the island aren't too bad.

anyways.... gotta finish up pday things.  i'll send pics and stuff later.

I am so happy Maggie had puppies.
Now that there are a bunch, you can make sure one is named after me,
at least. Or something cool.

I like getting gifts from members, so far in the first hour and a
little before church, I've gotten a big candy cane, $15 for subway, a
card and a little wrapped thing.
 The card could have money in it, it's from the family who gives us
lots of money already. And I'm guessing the little thing is chocolate.
Which i like just as much as money.

Oh, so I got a check from sister Liston, or chappel, and my name is on
it, so I'm wondering if I need to sign it, so I can get it cashed? Cuz
dad said I can send it home.
  And I had a thought that I could add the money to my account now,
and you can do something with the money afterwards.

It feels weird here. Like the weather especially. It's warm and humid
and no snow. I think it's gonna rain for these next two days.  It
doesn't feel like Christmas.

Oh, now that I have this thing, we can skype pretty much whenever. But
I think we'll go to a few members houses on wed. So I don't know. But
I'll let y'all know.

I think I had food poisoning last night. I feel better after being on
the toilet for about three hours total.
We're going to have a three day pday it seems.
The zone is at the church to practice for our zone songs.
We're singing "I'll skype home for Christmas" and some Spanish sisters
are singing a song. In Spanish.
The sisters in our district wrote the lyrics for the first song.
They're pretty clever.

   I think we are going over to go the other guys pad Christmas morn
and open our stuff. Only bey and I got stuff. Hunter got like one box
and Hernandez has nothing, as far as I know.  We got presents from our
investigators, hunter got a notebook and a planner holder. Not the
planner, but the holder. I think the ipad can fit in there too. But he
doesn't want his ipad anymore. And they gave me a cool picture frame.
Now I need a picture to out in it. And a binder full of sheet
protectors. I don't get sheets, or any that need protecting.
 But the company everything is is going under, so jcpenny is getting
rid of it, and she got tons of the stuff. (She works at jcp) It's like
really expensive plastic leather stuff. That is now pretty much free.
But my frame is acrylic with magnets that hold it together. I got a
picture, but it's not too clear. I'll send some pics later of me
opening it, and then other things.

We are going to have our mission Christmas party here in plainview,
cuz it's the biggest chapel I've seen. I've seen hundreds of people
easily fit in here.

  I like how I can randomly send emails home throughout the week, but
it makes Monday emails shorter. But it's good, so I don't have to
remember a whole lot now.
 Because I can't remember a whole lot now.

Oh, yesterday we were trying to teach Hernandez how to say "leave" and
"leaf". He's from Honduras and it was hilarious. Bey was on the floor
laughing, hunter was sounding it all out for him. And he still
couldn't do it. Then we changed and tried "stupid" because Hispanics
always add a "t" to words that end in "d". So stupid sounded like
stupidt.
It was a fun half hour. Language study.

   Anyway, I can't think of much more.
 Ill talk to y'all in a few days.

hola, so i am going to the temple for my year mark tomorrow and im excited because i haven't gone in a few months. because of the mass amounts of missionaries, we don't really go with our mtc groups. it's kinda random now. but i don't mind. it's not who i go with, but that i go anyway.

  hey brian, i'm sending you a cool tie for christmas. i think it's being sent today, so it'll get there this week i guess. i'm buying it through a company and they'll mail it for me.

  my finger is taking it's time to heal. it's not scabbing, and i've lost feeling in a very small  spot on the other side of the cut, between the nail and the cut itself.  i just  have to be careful with it.

 i'm excited for maggie to have puppies. can you name one after me?

it snowed all day saturday, then rained all night into sunday and now the snow is all gone.  and we spent 2 hours shoveling the block from 9-11. to be nice. but it was time well wasted because of the rain.  but i made hot chocolate and had fun making it. i made videos of all the steps. i'll find a way to send them home

 oh ya, i'm glad we got our ipads when we did, because shortly after, my camera died. it can turn on and i can look through the pics. but it's all black when it is on. so idk what happened. i was using it earlier. like we were at flushing meadows, and i used it to make a vid of the field. then we went to see the huge metal globe thing and it turned on but it was all black as if it wasn't on.

  oh well. ipad has two cameras, hehe.

 i'll probably email later, we're going shopping now. we'll be at the church later, so i'll use my ipad then.

I got goat cheese today just to try it. I just remembered its still in the car, and we're here playing ball at the church. But it's freezing out there so the trunk is probably as cold or colder than a fridge already.
  I was thinking I could be a fine cheese consumer. I can't think of the word I want. Connesuer something.
 But I was looking at all the cheeses and there are so many. And it would be cool to be a cheese person. Know things. About cheese.

Me and hunter are still in. But they didn't say if we are together or not.
Bey is in too. Galloni is out.

It snowed last night but now it's gone. It wasn't too much.  

Galloni is out so today we are all chilling. Playing that game. It's now called Juan Carlos. But today it's been misting and gloomy so our minds feel the same. 

 Some of the visa waiters are now in Brazil and Spain now. We got a new AP, he came out with me, elder Briles. It makes me feel super young.  

Sometimes my upper back hurts and I can't pop it or make it better. Like now. 

   I need to not spend so much money at the beginning if the month.  I was going to order some ties online. There is a member who makes these cool state or country ties for missionaries. I was going to get one for me and Brian. And get him the Cali tie. And you can even have the back of the tie customized to his name. The little strip that keeps the tail down.  Statesmanties.com  I think that's it. 

      Sorry I don't email earlier. We haven't made it to the library for a few days. Early enough. Like usual. We usually go in the morning after laundry. But we don't go. So I email on computers later like Tuesday. Or now on ipads. 

   It's been freezing. But not much snow. It's only snowed a little tiny bit twice in the last few months. Last night was supposed to be big. But not here at least. We've been hearing about the crazy ice storm in Texas and other areas. Like 4 deaths so far and lots of ice where it shouldn't be. I'd never think Texas would have that kind of weather. 

   I hate his kind of cold. 30。ain't too cold, but with the humidity it's worse. 

  We will go to a members house tonight, all of us, for food. We all go when someone leaves. Normally just one pair. 

Anyway.. I'll write back when I'm in the right mind to think and on a computer. So see ya lates

Thursday, Dec. 12

I was carving something this morning and I sliced my finger. It bled a
lot and I freaked out, but I ran it under cold water and put pressure
on it while my comp called the mission doctor. Then he led me through
steps to help it. So if it's done right, I won't need stitches, like I
originally thought. But don't worry. It stopped bleeding for now. I'll
let you know if it gets worse.
 I know I could have prevented it, but I was close to done. I won't
carve anymore, and I'll be careful to let my finger heal.
 I learned my lesson the hard painful way.
I'm eating now, cuz during a lesson the girl asked if I was okay, cuz
I look really tired and I was talking slow. Then I remembered I lost a
lot of blood, so it makes sense to be woozy. But I'll be okay.

My middle finger didn't get cut too bad, nor my ring. But I have
bandages on all of them. I should add one to my pinky and write lost
on them, haha.

Email sent Sunday, Dec. 1

Oh my heck so many people are talking about Paul walker.
 We went to a Chinese buffet for thanksgiving. Yup. We had
appointments but they all fell through. So we wandered around looking
for open places. Which there are none. We tried 5 guys, then IHOP,
there was a sign saying open for gobbling on turkey day. But it was
closed. Then we found the Chinese buffet was open, so we went there.
They gave us calendars. It was weird. I tried duck, it was weird too.
But it was a fun time. Then we went home and played dungeons and
dragons, or something similar.
   There was another death though, some old guy in my first ward died.
He was old and had heart problems. He bought us lunch every Thursday.
   Oh, our landlord gave us 40 bucks for thanksgiving cuz he knows we
are away from our families. He was in a good mood. Cool beans.
  Anyway, I'll write more tomorrow. It's sunday night now. We're gonna
have a good dinner in a few minutes. Oh, I had some mini canollies
earlier. They are good.

Sorry I didn't write yesterday we stayed in and played games, well one
game all day.
 No one did mail, or went shopping. Just laundry and that's it.
   I already told dad how my thanksgiving was. We went to a Chinese
buffet. It was kinda weird, but then we hung out together like always.
Hunter taught us a game he supposedly made up, very similar to
dungeons and dragons. Galloni called it "dragons and danger" he's
funny.  Yesterday when we played, it was pretty cool, elder bey was DM
(dungeon master) and galloni and hunter were in a coliseum fighting a
lion. And I was watching and betting on them. Galloni had a rat that
he tamed and makes it fight with him. The rat blinded the lion, and
then hunter killed it. It was cool. The game is mostly about chance.
We use a 20 sided die, so it's fun.
   Last night me and galloni went to a members for a DA, and she made
turkey with rice and beans. And plantains but I mostly just ate the
plantains because they're good. "Yeah man for the cert she heard, can
party and flan and finds good and so is punk" <— that was what the
voice recorder got. Hahaha.
 What I meant to say is, for desert she had pumpkin pie and flan. I
had the flan, it was really good. So was the pumpkin.  That was the
first time I've had real flan, and I didn't get much of it. She said
she could teach us.
" Hello Hannah not we went to Montenegro after things want and they
had a timers like taking cannolis Sotec like Oliver home and they're
really like cannolis" <— wow, the voice recorder can't understand me.
Hahaha
    We went to munch and mingle after the singles ward and they had
tons of cake and cannoli 's so we took them all. I mean, when they saw
us coming, the were like, " elders! Come take this food!"  So we got
like 20 cannoli's and a whole cake a member made, the frosting was
pretty much pure sweetened condensed milk.
   When we were driving yesterday, my right foot, right where the
break was, started to hurt real bad, like someone was pushing on that
small spot real hard. Then it stopped. So I don't know about that.
Weird.
  Oh, we did go shopping. We all went to bay shore to a really cheap
place called Aldi's.  I got bananas, apples, noodles (for the first
time ever) chocolate peanut butter, and some German chocolate stuff.
It was weird. Oh, and pancake mix and syrup. I tried making pancakes
this morning but they were horrible. I didn't measure everything
correctly. Too doughy. So I had cereal instead. And an apple.
 I feel like I'll get carpel tunnel if I use this keyboard on screen
much longer. It's not good.
  Today is district meeting, hunter was setting up a lot of stuff in
the gym, and he has a roll of electrical tape, I'm excited to see what
he's got in store.

    Whelp, love y'all. We will talk soon.  Like on Christmas I guess.
And now I don't have to call before, I can ask on Facebook. . We could
skype on my ipad.  I can't remember my info now. I'll message dad when
I find it.
