We got into another accident and we're all okay. Well, we didn't do anything. A girl slid into us the night it snowed a lot. We have a nice huge dent in the same spot as last time, but now the bumper/fender is gone. Like you can see the metal body of the car. Not much damage to her car. It was a Jeep.
The peanut butter I found was in the pad. Jean Baptiste had it and didn't like it. It's natural creamy. So it's not 100% smooth, but that's good for me. There's a lot of different kinds of peanut butter in the pantry.

Oh, so we ripped out another lady's walls today, and when we were leaving she gave us some clementines, and said that when we open them, we are the first person in the world to see what's inside. Same with bananas. That's a good way to look at it. I'll always think about that whenever I eat one of those now.
Oh , so there's a lot of Haitian people we teach, and one lady, like the one we're going to tonight, and her daughter, make really good food with goat meat. and wow it's good. They also have rice with beans and octopus legs. or squid. Idk. I didn't look. But the sisters said once they found a whole octopus, like the tiny mini ones. That's weird. but that's what they eat here.

At the Branch President's house (he's white) we had normal food, like bread bowls with clam chowder. mmmm that was good. with some home made cookies that were small so it didn't seem too bad to eat a ton of them. ahaha. Oh, since the transfer, I haven't had milk, or cereal. JB doesn't drink milk for some reason, and I think it's wearing off on me. But instead I'll have like a pbj sammich.

It's taking me a long time to send anything cuz we don't have a normal mailbox. The big blue boxes are on almost every corner, but I'm not too sure about them. They do work, but there's millions of them and I don't get how they can all be checked every day. But as long as it works eventually...

love y'all

I moved to Lynbrook. it's like 20 minutes west from Bay Shore. in the next county. It's funny, at the meeting, I was thinking I'd go into the city-walking. and then they started from zone 9, instead of 1 like they always do. Then they don't say my name in 9, which is kinda where I wanted to go, then they read 8, and I wasn't staying there, then they read 7, and put me with Elder Jean-Baptiste. who is Haitian. and afterward I talked to Heagren and he said my face was priceless, like I was so surprised to not be in the city and he's the last person I would have thought to go with. So because he's Haitian, he speaks Creole, and so I'm learning it as well. So that's kinda cool.

This is also his second to last transfer, so if I'm here one more time, I could kill him. Which would be cool. But he's cool, his accent is pretty hard to understand most of the time. Oh and like my second day here, he kinda crashed the car. It was more like a side swipe and now the whole left side is scratched up. So now I'm driving. And it's fun. But JB tells me where to go because he knows where everything is, so we don't use the gps, and so I miss the turns like about 10 times a day. Sometimes he's not paying attention, or he says left and I go left, but not the sharp left. And because there are a MILLION roads here I have no idea where they are. and I miss them all the time.

But the more we drive around and miss roads, I'll eventually know where they are. And I'm starting to get how to drive here. Like if you're gonna change lanes, you better do it FAST. and it's good to have another guy in the car because I'll be looking back and he can look ahead for me.

Oh and the ward is too small to be called a ward so it's a branch. it's TINY!!! like at the beginning of elders quorum there were 8 people. Oh and Jean-Baptiste is district leader. and we have a "dating" district. Just a pair of sisters and elders. I didn't take any pictures yet, so I'll have to get on that some time soon.
Idk what else to say, I'm gonna git.

I'm not sure my new address.. 72 Marshall Ave. Lynbrook. ya that's it. We live upstairs in a small house.
Izatt knows way more than I do, plus he's not in a Creole area anymore, and he's training!
I didn't make up that name, everyone knows it as that. This week went by pretty slow, but that's normal for my first time. Once I get used to things, it'll speed up, as usual. Like those last 3 transfers, where'd they go?!    anyways..

By the next few transfers, we'll have about 250 missionaries total. And we'll double the sister's number from around 30 to 60 - I guess that's double.. idk for sure. But it seems like all the sisters might be training soon. That would be cool for me to train too. But I still feel new to this whole mission thing. It would be hard to train someone to do something when I'm not too good at it myself. or something.

I hope Seth does something to finish his mission. like put him in an office or something.. that's too bad.
Oh you know how I said I was gonna send something home? well I didn't do it yet. I gotta find a small bubble mailer for it. cuz I was thinking about sending some other things home as well. But now that I moved I don't have them to send anymore. So I'll just find a package today or something.

OH! I just remembered something. So we went to a family's house for dinner the other day and their house is massive, but what's awesome is their custom painting of the tree of life story. They had some guy they found at an art show read the story and paint it how he saw it. and it turned out really great. Also they have a handful of life-sized wooden nutcrackers! like my height! I didn't take a pic of them cuz I didn't have my camera, but I thought of Mom when I saw them, cuz she likes them. and they were just huge. haha..

I made a mormon.org profile. I didn't put much on it cuz I'm boring. but the picture is okay.
mwen genyen yon fre ak de se. - Elder peck

that means I have one brother and two sisters. I put it in translate it that's not what it says.. I might have missed something. It's been a while since I learned it. like a day. haha see ya next week

Ya I'm trying to eat healthy. I do when I go to member's houses. But at home, I could do better. But last night I had jam on toast. I never really had it back home, but I love it now. Especially with this really good jam, it's got fibre in it too, and I ALWAYS get 100% wheat. and now I have double fibre. So I really get my fibre in my diet. Like it's 40% per 2 slices. then my added fibre jam. It's like 75% of my daily dose in the morning. I got the healthy kind of cereal too, like those oat n honey, also frosted mini wheats. and some granola, and I always have oatmeal, even if it's the instant sugary stuff. and I try to get some apples. I was, but I kinda stopped for a while.

That sucks for Seth. I hope he gets better, how did it happen? There's a kid here that broke his back falling down some stairs, but he didn't want to go home, so they stuck him in the office with another kid who broke his leg. oh man....

It was really foggy these last few days, and not too cold. cuz if it'd be cold and foggy, idk what that does.. Still no snow. I want pictures of what the snow looks like! Like if you say the pile is so high, I want to see it. It's been a while since I've seen real snow. We get some frost on the grass in the morning, but it's gone by the time we get outside. so it doesn't count.

So it's time for transfers again. It happens like every 6 weeks, except for this next one is 5 weeks for some reason I can't explain.. and I'M OUT. yep, I'm done with Bay Shore. So don't send anything to Saxon Ave anymore. I'll let you know next week where I am.

I'll miss this place a lot. I love this ward more than my home ward. I realize that people here are more .. themselves. Like back home everything is done properly and without error. but here, it's like .. whatever! like I went to a baptism yesterday and Corey, who was going to give the prayer, he just says what he wants, but it was good, like that he's glad Victor (baptizee) made this decision and stuff. But it's hard to explain what people do here. It might be better to explain the way they pray. Like people are more unique here and this other guy, Mike, he's a real gangsta, and when he normally talks he says "you know what I'm sayin" so when he prays, he says it. Like people do have the respect for God, but they express it in their own ways. it's awesome.

I'll have to send some stuff home later. It's crazy today. unless I pack early then I could. oh, we gotta go. love ya.

It's been really cold here too, but not below freezing, and there was a tiny bit of snow on the ground yesterday and this morning.

Ok, so I just got a call from our investigator, Kelly, and she said she's moving from Lindenhurst to Bay Shore, right off of Brook Ave! If you don't know where any of those are, that's ok. just know that our church is on Brook Ave and we live in Bay Shore. So I'm super excited!
